This superb Riserva Taurasi has been conceived for celebrating 130 years since the official registration of the winery at the Chamber of Commerce in Avellino. In 1878, Angelo Mastroberardino, Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Corona d’Italia and great-grandfather of the current President, Professor Piero Mastroberardino, registered the company, in order to export wines in Europe and America.
Since then, the Mastroberardino’s has always safeguarded and spread the great values of the wine from Irpinia: Taurasi has been the main flagship of this fascinating entrepreneurial story, as testified by the collection of about a century of vintages, jealously kept in the family‘s caveau, an extraordinary evidence of the local viticulture in the world.
Aglianico finds its best expression in this land, raising the highest consideration as one of the main vines of the world, for character, longevity and elegance.
